Tube floating on the river, lazy pace, enjoying the scenery. Many small Texas style towns, especially the 'Cowboy Capital of the World', Bandera. Dude ranches great for family stays of 3-7 days are all around. The 'Hill Country' place to go.

This is a hidden gem. Too cold to tempt me with rope swings, but it is absolutely gorgeous. It is spring fed and crystal clear.

Cool water shaded with cypress trees and little island areas for camping while kayaking. There are two damn in the Medina near the town of Medina, but you can port around them. Check water levels, can get pretty low during drought conditions.
