We found online a great deal for one night and decided to give it a try. My daughter was fascinated with the cabin. We did the one hour horse ride and I totally recommend it if your kids never rode a horse. The horses seem to walk in a line on a remote control. We were in the middle of... More

This place is not a resort or a ranch despite what their website says. It was completely overpriced (I paid $1400 for 2 nights!)...I don't mind paying top dollar for quality, but everything there is either old, broken, dirty, or misrepresented on their website. We stayed in the historic villas, aka, cinder block duplexes with cigarette burned bed blankets, stained... More

Our suite had cracked tiles in the shower, a rusty bathroom fan, no disposal in kitchen sink, loose faucet in kitchen, difficult faucet in shower that was apparently too hard to turn off for the cleaning staff who had left it dripping. Water park was great fun for the kids, but had bathrooms in need of maintenance, worn fabric on... More

This is a great ride and value! We went on a one hour ride through some of the most gorgeous and interesting terrain. The horses were well cared for and responsive and the guide was fantastic. The ride lasted over an hour and was everything we hoped for and more. We would definitely go back again and try out the... More

My husband had a conference here. We decided to make it a week long trip and enjoy the dude ranch amenities. Unfortunately, we found after we got there that the water park and pool were closed for the season. Our room was not to our expectations either. It was an old duplex which we were not expecting. Lots of maintenance... More

Rather small but adequate for the two of us, but very dirty in places, with accumulated dust and grime, mouse droppings on the counter tops and in draws. Dinner at the ranch was a joke, no salad, no mash, no vegetables and what food there was, was not labelled so unless it was obvious you didn't know what you were... More

My husband and I spent the week at the Flying L with our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. We stayed there on a time share trade. The facility has its own water park and pool. Each evening there was a campfire family gathering and a wagon ride around the property. The property is a bit old, but it has character... More

The time spent with horse wrangler "Joe Bob" at the Flying L Guest Ranch on the trail ride was delightful. After convincing my 87 year old friend into taking a horseback ride during a visit to Cowboy Capital Bandera TX, I was concerned about finding an establishment that would consider taking on a novice rider (me, age 65) and someone...
