This is such a nice place to see the wildlife. The trails are well kept and there are many places to sit and enjoy the view. There are many species of birds and other wildlife such as deer and more. There is a pavilion with restrooms and a picnic area as well as a pier to overlook the river. Dogs... More

Went here on one of our trips recently. Cost hardly anything to get in and was a pleasant way to spend a few hours. There were a few bird hides so you could get close to seeing them, also well sign posted routes around the grounds. The area was nice and tidy and well kept. I think we went the... More

It's a beautiful park with excellent opportunities to view a number of birds and other local fauna. Really, that's the reason I wanted to practice hiking with my full backpack which I was going to be lugging on my trip in Alaska. However, one particular park host was worried my full backpack indicated I was a vagrant, homeless man looking... More

I've been here several times wince moving to Bay City. Always I've had the place to myself so it is a poorly utilized place though it deserves a lot more attention form the community. What it does have is great attention from whoever keep it up because the grounds are beautiful, well laid out, and always well kept. It's a... More

If you're a person who likes to go Birding or even like Botany/Gardens..this is a very pleasant and designed well Nature Center. There are paved paths for easy walking, well marked signage, and in April the birding is great. Also, if you are handicapped or elderly and have a difficult time walking distance, they have Golf Carts available for only... More

I visited the nature center early in the morning and, although I'm not a birder, I really enjoyed my walk. The center is very well maintained and includes a number of different environments, wetlands, thicket, streams and ponds, flower gardens, and has many benches for sitting and bird-watching. I surprised a deer as I walked down one of the many... More

It's a pretty park! I had a Nutria come up to me and it was surprisingly cute. There are a lot of turtles and sea birds, beautiful gardens, and flowers. It's only 5$ per car load or 3$ a person. I ran into some staff and they were friendly and told me a lot about the animals and area. I... More
