I am a hiker and really enjoy the changes of views from the grassy field, classic hill country, and then the river area with grass and tall pecan trees. Such a gem. One of my fav's.

From the reviews I was expecting to be "amazed". This place is OK, but not worth the drive. If you are bringing grandma and grandpa for a 100 yard walk and sit down picnic place, perfect. If you are looking for a hike to match...More

This is my favorite place to walk and train my dogs. It's also a great place to put your kayak in and head down river. It's a long journey to the bridge by water but you won't be regret it. It's amazing. They have bird...More

Most folks go here for bird-watching. There are excellent blinds (you're completely indoors) that are very comfortable. There are some hiking trails, but these are not extensive. One frequently overlooked feature of this park are the fossils. Follow the trail from the first parking area...More

Just passing through the area and decided to go off the beaten path. Very nice place to have a picnic, float in the river and enjoy nature. River was calm and pleasant. NOT a busy place at all, which made it even more enjoyable

Along the marked paths are fossils and my family loved scavenging through the rocks to find them. We also saw a family of fallow deer which were absolutely beautiful and it amazed our son to see them. It's a quiet and relaxing area with a...More

Nice easy drive just off the beaten path outside of Boerne. Not too busy and great access to the Guadalupe.

A beautiful and remote area of the Guadalupe River. We actually visited on a Friday and we were almost the only people there, apart from one guy fishing. Not much in the way of facilities but perfect if you just want to get away from...More

This park is about 14 miles from Boerne, so it's rarely crowded during the week. As the name implies, it's a natural area without a lot of amenities, but right on the Guadalupe which has flowed nicely most of this year. Lots of birding and...More

I live about 5-6 miles from this park and I go regularly. Unfortunately it gets pretty crowded on the weekends by 8:30-9:00 am. Most of the trails are pretty easy, but Vista Loop is challenging. This time of the year the horseflies are annoying, so...More

No, horses aren't allowed in Kreutzberg but they are in Joshua Springs Park and Preserve which is north of Boerne, off IH-10. It's twice as large and for natural beauty, it's better than Kreutzberg. They have a website; just... More

Take road 474 (N Esser Rd) north from Boerne until you reach Kreutzberg Road. Take a right and follow Kreutzberg to Mark Twain Drive. You'll see the entrance to the park on your left.
