Better hurry. Heard this old bridge is slated to be removed for a new one. I'll use it more now that I heard that. Since I started this review a few months ago, the old bridge is blocked off & a new concrete one taking...More

We love tracking down old truss bridges across Texas. Most have been replaced by modern bridges & highways & are left in disrepair behind overgrown brush & fallen trees. This is a treasure. It is in use, a gorgeous place for a photo shoot &...More

I was actually very disappointed by this site as I thought that it was a covered bridge. It is actually an old rusty bridge similar to a train trestle. They are currently building a new concrete bridge right beside this iron bridge. I mean right...More

This Old Bridge has been around all my life!!!! I love taking my family over this bridge. I'm not sure how old this bridge is but it has to be very very old, but it's STILL standing and IS such a SIGHT to SEE!!!! 😁😎😉😋

2 cars can barely pass each other, but worth the view. River access great at this location. Near the spillway waterfall, a must-see.

Single lane Truss Bridge that by appearance does not look like it should still be viable. View of the North Bosque River mid span is nice and worth a passenger picture out the window. Adjacent to the bridge is a low water dam that also...More

The Whipple truss bridge at Clifton is one of those dinosaurs from a bygone time that should be seen. 138 years ago the townsfolk needed a reliable way to get across the Bosque river so they built this bridge. That was during the time of...More
