We traveled from West Texas to see fall color. This small state park fulfilled that goal. You leave the highway and drive down toward the lake. All the buildings and grounds were well-maintained. We wandered around watching and being followed by geese. We watched families play badminton and horseshoes. It was quiet, and beautiful red and gold leaves mixed with... More

This was our second visit to this park for camping. It is a very nice place. We camped in Big Pine and it is all pull thru sites. The loop next to it is back ins and many have very short pads. Our site was full hook up and most at this park appeared to be. Daingerfield is very close... More

Daingerfield State Park is one of my favorite East Texas parks. It is an easy drive from DFW but feels like a completely different part of Texas, it is about the closet that the piney woods get to Dallas. This State Park has quickly become our favorite camping destination. The Big Pine Loop is very nice with spacious campsites and spotless facilities. The views of the lake are incredible and the Fall colors are a must see. We look forward to visiting again very soon!

The park is just breathtaking! Very wide and open, very clean! We were not able to swim this time but I will definitely go back for a swim!

We drove from the Dallas area for a three night stay at Daingerfield State Park. After a two hour drive we set up our tent, had some dinner, and watched birds - three different kinds of woodpeckers (including a pileated woodpecker) visited the towering pines around our campsite that first evening. The following morning we watched birds while enjoying our... More

I have been going here since I was a little kid. Meeting other kids from other places hoping for pen pals or ,when i got older, summer crushes. Jumping off the dock , paddle boats, and canoes are a part of my growing up there. Now I bring my family here and they LOVE it. My teenager daughter wants to... More

Really nice place to visit. Very scenic year round. Good fishing and great nature trails. Camping used to be good but haven't used that in years.
