The adventure at The Dallas World Aquarium begins at the top of the rainforest exhibit, where exotic birds, such as Cocks-of-the-rock and many species of toucans, can be seen. Lounging around are Two-toed and Three-toed sloths. Endangered animals, such as Orinoco crocodiles, Giant river otters, Antillean manatees and several species of monkeys are part of the many conservation projects. The aquarium portion displays interesting marine life, including Japanese crabs, jellyfish, Leafy, Weedy and Ribbon seadragons. Black-footed and Blue penguins can be seen swimming as guests enjoy the outdoor South Africa exhibit. Sharks, rays and sawfish are only a few of the fish living in the Mundo Maya cenote. Safe from Neotropical eagles, are euphonias, tanagers and hummingbirds. Reptiles and amphibians, both of significance to the Maya culture, can be seen throughout the exhibit.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I can say it was more after I paid $20 per person. while this location is a large facility, it lacked what one would hope to see at an aquarium....sharks....seals....etc. Not here....best attraction was the black footed penguins, and they weren't all that entertaining, even at feeding time. The river otters were pretty... More

The Dallas World Aquarium and Zoo covers a city block, and the path winds up five floors. One side is opaque to let in natural light, and all the plants inside are living plants. After viewing the aquarium on the bottom floor, including the GIGANTIC walk-through aquarium, wind your way slowly up the path, viewing various animals and displays as... More

This is my favorite place in Dallas... especially when the sloth is out and the otters are being playful! The shark tunnel is a fun place to sit for awhile, but the best place is in front of the manatee tank right before you head out to see the penguins. The animals seem very happy in their environment and there's... More

Crowded with kids but a great place to go for a visit. I would suggest as soon as they open as it gets crowded.

No it's not cheep but it's worth a visit. Take your time, stroll, read the exhibits, sit a while in the shark room. Enjoy

We really enjoyed the visit. The highlights were the tiny, tiny monkeys, river otters, and the sloth.

It is a little odd to find an aquarium in the middle of skyscrapers, but once step into the entrance, you are transported to a different world that feels close to nature. The exhibits are fascinating, and beautiful. Very well laid out, visitors are directed to view everything and to interact where permitted - especially interesting for children to be... More

This place is always wonderful and beautiful. It's great to see the animals in such a natural-looking environment however Lines for ticket can get long on the weekends, over an hour in some cases. Most all of the parking is metered. So plan it accordingly. Apart from that it has a lot more birds than an aquarium should, the shark,... More

Such a surprise in the middle of downtown Dallas. Wide variety of water creatures if course-- then there are howler monkeys, sloths, multiple species of birds and beautifully done paths and vegetation!
