Locals hang out on this strip. Lots of restaurant with a diverse cuisine. High prices but worth the trip if you want to break the monotony.

This little area is a great artsy oasis. Plenty of shopping for hand-crafted delights. They have everything from women's clothes to men's hats, cigars and pies. If If you want BBQ (and if you're not a vegetarian it IS the thing to do in Texas) try Lockhart Smokehouse. The live music there is fun and there's plenty of meat. If... More

I enjoy spending Saturday or Sunday afternoons walking the Bishop Arts District after eating a delicious brunch at Jonathan's in Oak Cliff! There are cute little shops and places to have a cocktail along the way.

I used to only think of Oak Cliff as a bad part of town. But, the Bishops Arts District is actually a nice area to go with lots of great new restaurants. They also have valet parking available now where you can to go any restaurant and then text them when you are ready for your car. It's definitely worth... More

We visited this area because our tour guide at FOODS OF TEXAS TOURS recommend Lockhart's for BBQ with no sauce. VERY GOOD!

So many great boutiques, cafes and people watching. It's come a long way from when I was last here 15 years ago. Worth a visit for everyone. Just a great and fun artsy neighborhood.

For a quirky, trendy, artsy area of Dallas, try this neighborhood. There is no place quite like it in Dallas. Express yourself. Shop for off-beat clothes and crafts or dine in one of the creative restaurants or coffeshops.
