For those movie lovers wanting to see a movie in uptown Dallas this is the place. Take I-75 and exit Lemmon Ave. and go East just a couple of blocks like 3 perhaps 4 and there it is on the right side. Near it, it has a great parking 4 level garage or if your lucky you will find one... More

In the middle of Dallas Up-Town, which is constantly growing and improving, the Magnolia theater, is definitely one of the jewels in the crown. The outsides cafes, ice cream places and restaurants, are always crowded with happy folks. This is the place in Dallas, which people now come to see and be seen. Most of the time, self parking will... More

I like very much the Magnolia theatre because it's quite small and cozy, with lots of shops and restaurants at a walking distance, in a very trendy neighborhood.

I wrote a review a few months ago suggesting the Magnolia was looking a little tired and could use a facelift. The coincidence was surely timing, as improvements began almost immediately. Several months in making, paint, flooring, presentation and most importantly large, slightly reclining movie-watching seats are in place as if the space had been gutted. This work was done... More

The Magnolia's new reserved seating system is awful, and my wife and I won't be going back until they do away with it. Takes forever to get your tickets. You can't tell what the viewing experience will be like from a chart--it's better to get a quick feel once inside the auditorium so you can sit in the right spot.... More

This is a great theater although it could use a little refreshing. The Atmosphere, West Village location, and the movie choices are what this location is all about... the selections for movie snacks are on the weak side. But, they do serve alcohol if that's you're thing. We have seen many limited screen showings here and it's always fine, but... More

We had the entire rooms to ourselves for an afternoon matinee. Comfortable seating with great sound system made for a very enjoyable viewing.

I like that there's a bar. Bars expensive but so is Uptown. It's a fun place to watch a movie, if it's a fun movie -- saw Bernie there. It depends on the movie, but it's always pretty packed, people seem to enjoy themselves. It's a hipster crowd so there are not too many annoying people with bad cell phone... More

The Magnolia runs some of the best movies in town. It is always a pleasure to take in a show here. After the movie, restaurants are just outside the door. You can watch a movie and enjoy your dinner without spending lots of $$.

I have been to this theater many times, as I live in the area. The review written by jessicadean does a good job of describing what to expect when you go there. We often get gelato at Paciugo before watching a movie. The only thing I would add is that this theater has a feel of being very adult. Not... More
