I love this place! It is a hidden gem just outside Austin. It's never too crowded, has beautiful views and wonderful trails and the Perdenales River runs right through it. You can fish, swim, hike, walk, climb, ride bikes, ride horses, etc.

Hike the trails thru the woods or the trails along the river. By yourself, as a couple or with your family it's a fun place to visit and explore. If your into rock climbing, bring your gear. In the Summer it can be a hot...More

My wife and I went on a Friday. There were maybe 3 other groups of people. You have alot of river front to choose from. Had a picnic and a swim. No shade so bring a shelter to get out of the sun.

We just did the short trail along the Pedernales River, however, there is rock climbing, various hiking trails, biking, and fishing available too. It was a nice view of the Pedernales River from above and provides informative stories of the river.

If you visit, dogs MUST be on a leash for safety. Drownings have happened here in recent times. Just too many people and loose dogs around rock climbing areas. Last time I went, the park ranger had to hunt down two people whose dogs were...More

We did not spend a lot of time here, but enjoyed the time we had. A recent burn did affect my visit, as the smell really hung in the air. The view over the river was beautiful, and I am sure if I had spent...More

We love to visit Reimers on a beautiful day. It's a great place to hike, given that some trails are flat & easy, and some are more steep, rocky, or strenuous. There are also biking trails, horse trails, picnic areas, places to fish on the...More

Wear hiking boots or swim shoes to get the most out of rocky shores and trails. The trail looks so easy in some places but then... it can get tricky. The river canyon makes for steep inclines to the water. Really neat! easy parking and...More

Yes. There is a hike down to the water, but it has great access. It has a beach type shore. It would be a great place to take some shade and spend the day.
