Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While we were there, many visitors were told, albeit kindly, to step further back away from their paintings.....one man was so mad, he yelled at the guard & walked out.

Oh well......

Massive collection of Frederic Remingtons & Charles Russell western art collected by Texas oilman Sid Richardson. There is also an impressive silver parade saddle on display.....poor horse because it sure looks heavy!

Free admission, kind staff & great gift shop. You can do this in less than one hour.

My husband and I loved this museum. If you are a fan of Frederic Remington and Charles Russell, you will love it too. The museum is small and took us about 45 minutes to see. The museum is free and they will validate your parking if you park in a nearby garage (see website for info). A plus, plus in my book.

This small museum is right in the middle of town. Although some of the pieces are not really my style, there are a handful of beautiful landscape paintings. The museum is free to visit, so why not?!

It's a small museum with Remingtons and Russells. I enjoyed learning a little about the Western genre of art. If you are pressed for time, it's still worth a quick walk through and it's free!

On entering we were greeted with the most warmest welcome and biggest smile. The art on display is absolutely beautiful, amazing for its age and the colours are breathtaking. We were given a brochure on the pieces on display which is completely and the actual visit itself, there is no charge for this. Beautiful museum, peaceful place where you can get lost in the art. Really worth a visit.

What an awesome museum especially since I am a Huge fan of both artist's Mr. Remington and Mr. Russell(My eye's have consumed here before); and this museum contain's some off their best work. Saturday 11 February '17; like two days ago; there was an artist/actor doing an in-person characterization of Charles Russell's wife, Nancy. Very nice 20 minute presentation.
However, no matter how wonderful the Sid Richardson Museum is, it pale's compared to my date, Melinda:+)
We both highly recommend all'you'all visiting.

This was our third trip to Sid Richardson's fine museum of Russell and Remington (and a few other artists). The second time we went we did not get there because of so much downtown construction which seems to be finished. The museum opens at 9a. We arrived just a few minutes after and actually found a place to park on the street just around the corner. Free admission....don't miss it....!!

The Sid Richardson Museum is not a huge place......easy to walk through........and full of great works of art. We thoroughly enjoyed our viewing of Remmingtons and other Western Art artists. Definitely a great place to visit........and a cute gift shop, too!

Not only is this one of the finest Western Art museums, it's free to the public! Located within a block of Sundance Square, the quaint Sid Richardson Museum opens its doors to anyone who appreciates masters like Remington and Russell. Their gift shop offers quite a collection of novelties that represent the Old West and museum. Don't pass this one up!
