I finally made a trip to Fort Worth specifically to visit the Kimbell. It's a nice museum, but it was much smaller than I thought it would be. The museum is divided into two separate buildings that are divided by an open lawn. You will walk outside to get from one to the other. The main building and entrance is... More

The permanent collection of the Kimbell is modest, offering quiet gems of 2 of this and 3 of that. If I were attracted to every form of art, I would enjoy it more. The building itself is architecturally interesting. Where this museum really shines is its Special Exhibits. They once featured a huge number of paintings on loan from The... More

The layout the input from the Docents and the visual of the exhibits are designed to encourage exploration along with discovery of the history of the exhibits. I have found my experiences stay with me long after I have left the museum. It is designed to be enjoyed for families, small groups, as couples or even a"lone wolf".

The Kimball is a world class museum right here in Ft Worth. It's one of 3 museums along with Amon Carter (American Art) and Modern. There is usually 3 special shows each year. We saw "Monet: the Early Years... it was cool and not too crowded. Locals... go see it. Visitors.. definitely go there and Amon Carter next door.

Wonderfully put together with paintings that haven't been together before. The Kimbell is always a treat ( and lunch before or after is Also!)

The Monet art exhibit at the Kimbell is stunning - make plans to see it before it leaves Fort Worth Jan 29th! The museum is gorgeous with beautiful piano music, good food & drink and a souvenir shop + wonderful opportunities for family art nights. They also cater to children so they too may appreciate the wonderful gift of art.

The Kimball possesses a world class permanent collection and hosts premier, internationally acclaimed exhibitions. The acclaimed Louis I Kahn building is an artistic treasure in its own right, and is complemented by the museum's recent expansion into the Renzo Piano building. Two cafes within the Kimball complex offer casual, yet diverse dining options. Admission to the museum's permanent exhibit is... More

I have been a member at the Kimbell for many years. They are able to get exhibits that only a few museums in the country or for that matter the world, can get. Year after year, they have the best art exhibits anywhere. The most recent Monet exhibit was exceptional. A must see when you are in Fort Worth.

The Kimbell is an amazing place with a world class collection of art. We were there for one of the special Exhibitions, "The Brothers Le Nain". Of course it was a breath taking exhibit; the Kimbell never fails to put on masterful exhibits. Whether showing from their permanent collection or a special exhibit such as this one. The staff is... I always like returning to Kimbell to see new exhibitions. The latest one was the Monet exhibit - early years. It is really neatly placed and a very interesting. You have free parking garage beneath around museum. Also, while you are there, there is a nice gift shop. Def place for entire family.
