The Fort Worth Zoo strives to keep animals in their natural habitats which is so much better than caged confinement. Animals seem content, happy, healthy, and the zoo is easily accessed for all patrons with varying degrees of mobility. I believe it was the Bass Family of Fort Worth, great philanthropists of the city, who are largely responsible for the... More

No kids but a great time. We have been zoo members in Cincinnati for 30+ years and LOVE zoos. This was a great one! We still love Cincinnati but this was a close second. Didn't do San Diego while there but seeing this zoo makes us feel we didn't miss anything. This was $10 each seniors instead of $54 or... More

Fort Worth has a zoo that's much bigger than the city used to warrant. It's a great zoo, very kid friendly, with lots of activities and very natural enclosures for the animals. Worth the trip.

Always love be a trip to the zoo. An 80 degree Saturday in February and the entire metroplex decided to go to the zoo. ;-) Parking lines were very long , so were tickets. The zoo was doing everything they could, so no complaints. Once in the gates, everyone dispersed and the crowds never bothered us again. My 4 year... More

This zoo is in the middle of everything and yet you feel like you are lost in the wilderness. It is an absolutely beautiful place to be with your family!

Best to visit when it's not so hot out as the animals are more active then. However the majority of the zoo has large trees for shade along the walk areas. Definitely will go back

This Zoo allows you to get close to all of the animals. It has excellent sight lines that allows you to view animals that you can not get close to.. On the day we were their, most of the animals were moving around. I have been to zoo's where the animals just sit their looking at the public.

The Fort Worth Zoo is a must-see when visiting Fort Worth. Looking forward to the expansion. Can't wait to see what all that will bring. Love visiting the zoo, and all of the great Zoo programs, like Zoo Camp, Zoo School, and Boo at the Zoo.
