About
Thanks for a great 2021 swim season! The swim beach is closed until next year. The boat ramp will continue to be open 24/7. Take a break from reality and relax, swim, and celebrate at Fort Worth’s premiere daycation spot, only 15 miles from downtown. This beautiful beach is nestled in the southern point of Eagle Mountain Lake and is the perfect place to create your favorite summer memories.

Nice park for picnics and swimming
Aug 2021 • Couples
Nice sandy beach on Eagle Mountain Lake. Lots of trees and manicured grassy areas with picnic tables and pavilions that you can pay to reserve. There are 2 volleyball courts in the sand, a roped off swim area, and platform in the middle of the water for jumping off. Music was playing through speakers on tall poles on each side of the beach. The bathrooms were clean. We paid admission online. There is a monitored gate you go through to enter. There is a large parking lot with plenty of spaces. It is a very nice park. We drove over an hour to check out the swim beach. We probably wouldn’t drive out here again, but if you live in the area nearby, it’s a nice park to picnic and hang out. There were a lot of families with children who were enjoying swimming and playing in the sand. We went during the week and price was $10 per car. On the weekend it’s $20. It says not to use canopies on the beach, only the grassy areas. We were able to use a beach umbrella for 2 people. Others were also using umbrellas. Some people were on SUP’s. There was a trailer on one end of the beach. I think they were for rent over there. I also saw Kona ice for sale in the main building near the restrooms.

It would help if someone actually answered the damn phone for people who have questions and want general information not on the website.

Impossible Site/ UNABLE TO PURCHASE TICKETS
May 2020 • Family
Ruined our whole weekend!!! It is very unfortunate that the only way to visit this park is to purchase online parking pass AND REGISTER in their site. A whole invasion of privacy asking questions about head of household information. I called the number listed and the park employee said this was the only option to visit. The site is impossible and never allowed me to register correctly. My kids really wanted to visit and sad to say I didn't even have this hard of a time getting into Disney world. I really hope the parks department addresses the issues because it is NOT USER FRIENDLY AND very difficult to navigate through.

Fun day at the beach
Jul 2019 • Family
We had a great Saturday at this unique and fun park. They open at 10 so we got there early about 930 to get in line for admission. Well worth the $20 a carload admission fee. By arriving early we snagged a great spot, a picnic table under a big shade tree in the grassy area. We unloaded our car, blew up our rafts, grabbed our pool noodles and headed in for a nice swim. There is a huge sand beach that extends out into the water. We all had swim shoes because it is always a good idea. There is a swim float anchored out for people to climb up on and jump off. Very popular with our crowd. The water was a great temp to enjoy and we had a great day. There is a Kona ice stand. We all had a shave ice and then splashed around to wash off the sticky. Great big fun for a 30 minute drive.

Not worth the drive or the $20 fee
Jul 2019 • Couples
The shore was rocky. I would definitely recommend swimming shoes. It was very crowded on a Saturday, which I did expect but all the shaded areas were taken, so bring a canopy or umbrella JUST in case or reserve a bench. Most of the grassy areas had grass stickers which are painful to step on. So it was very irritating to find a spot to set your chairs down. Water was dirty. Only nice thing was a/c in the restrooms. I’ve found better swimming holes compared to this one. I wouldn’t recommend.

Fee no problem
Jul 2019 • Family
The beach is really nice. The $20 fee is not a problem for nor the rules. Its keeps all the tweakers out of the park and those people who think everyone wants to listen to their music. The fee and rules create more of a safe place for families to gather.

Budget Day trip

Located within an hour of Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is this wonderful clean lake with a soft sandy beach. Many amenities including picnic benches, covered pavilions, grills, volleyball nets, horseshoes as well as clean restrooms and a small store for necessities. Free use of lifejackets is a nice touch as well. The kids love jumping off the floating raft too! Budget tips- The weekday price is only ten bucks and they give out punch cards for a free visit.
