Took us about an hour to walk up and back to the top of the rock to great the great view of the surrounding area. It’s a very interesting extinct volcanic structure that has weathered away over time.

Prepare for some steep sections on the way to the top of the Enchanted Rock. Once up there the view is fantastic on a fine clear day. I'm glad it was not raining as I'm sure it could very extremely slippery when wet. There are...More

Get your hiking boots on and challenge the Enchanted Rock! Fairly level trail around the base. However, when they say “steep”, be prepared. Wonderful view from the top.

The rock is steep but totally worth it. We saw all ages climbing the rock. I would recommend hiking shoes, though. We wore Chocos sandals and it rained and we were sliding. Totally worth the view. We also hiked the Loop trail. It was fun....More

My second visit in nine years and the experience was even better than I remembered. Best to walk in the mornings when the temperatures are lower and to listen to the Ranger's advice. Any moderately fit person can walk to the rock summit and I...More

We did the same thing. We booked and paid for a camping spot so we would be guaranteed entry. You might have to wait in line to get in the park and check in, but you will get in as opposed to day visitors just driving in to... More
