This was our first trip to Enchanted Rock. We went early on a Wednesday so we had no problem getting in. It was worth the drive out there. Thankful, we the rock is wide, so if you need to rest, you won’t be in anyone’s...More

We only went there to see it and didn't climb it this trip to hot in the afternoon. But have climbed it in the past twice. Beautiful views from the top, and worth the climb in cooler weather. Never in the summer. We have had...More

Enchanted Rock has gorgeous views and the climb was not that hard. I wasn't sure what to expect. You can always rest if you get tires. Bring a backpack with water and a snack. You can use different paths to get up or come down....More

Be aware that they are VERY SERIOUS about the capacity...if you see the sign saying that it's closed for the day, mind that. That said, it's amazing energy, great hiking, beautiful space that I highly recommend!!!

Beautiful hike up to the dome, where expansive views await on top. Bluebonnets, etc. in bloom while we were there. Easy to moderate hike on well-marked trail.

This is great to climb (walk) up and then detour back on one of the trails. Be early though as only limited numbers are let in.

One of the best state parks in Texas. Loop trail is easy walking, interior trails (including up the rock) are far more demanding. All around outstanding place.

The fissure is a nice feature at Enchanted Rock. It allows a nice beginner experience for climbing and bouldering. Be carfeul! Take water and a flashlight and be prepared to climb.
