We took our 3 year old and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The Sponge Bob experience is well done (similar to Disney exhibits). Our favorite was the rain forest - lots of beautiful and exotic animals you can get up close with. We also went back...More

We visited the rainforest pavilion to see the butterfly garden but there were no butterflies!? However the rest was fun to see. There was easy access for strollers and the elderly such as ramp's and elevators, some areas can get jammed up so be patient...More

Several generations of family were present for a long weekend. Something for everyone with beach, ropes course, pool, pyramids, etc. We are already talking about returning next year.

I love this place, but they are going through some changes that upset my child. She expected to see the butterflies and sloth. Those are two of several exhibits affected.

TheMoodyGardens, Public Relations Manager at Moody Gardens, responded to this review

Hi Libby, Many of our animals in the Rainforest are free-roaming, the Sloth being one of them. Often times you have to seek them out. Our butterflies are also released throughout the entire Rainforest versus just the canopy. We appreciate your feedback greatly.

When a business basically says to you “yeah, so what?!!?”…I see no reason to make nice. The Moody Garden aquarium removes their most popular attraction for almost two years, and does not care. The stingray petting area has/is/will be gone with no alternative planned for/considered/coming…until...More
