Worth the visit. Absolutely beautiful! The staff seemed to be the same staff that were there about 3-4 years ago - not the friendliest, and they were not in the past either. TIP: BE SURE AND ASK ABOUT THE "EXTRA" TOUR. Because the staff were...More

Galveston is about a 1 hour drive from Houston and I am not sure if was worth it. My husband didn't want to enter the house, so I entered by myself. The entrance fee includes an audio guide that took all of 20 minutes. The...More

The house is well preserved and the audio tour and supporting information and furnishings give a good feel for what Galveston used to be like. Grand mansion and well preserved.

Yes. I was there last week, and it was. It's not overly done, just tastefully so with a lovely tree in the entrance hall, etc.
