Cute place. Lots of cars to view a few you can get on. Do the short train ride, about 10-12 minutes long. The mini train sets were cool too

This museum was bigger than expected and well worth the stop. My husband and I had an great time. Walk through took about two and a half hours.

The Galveston Railroad Museum is the best RR Musuem I have ever visited. It has so many locomotives and rolling stock. You can go in many of the cars and climb up in the cabs of the locomotives. It is located under the train sheds of the Depot that served the passenger trains that came into Galveston.

My 16 year old has loved trains since he was 2, so we try to visit train museums when we can. This is a really good one. Model trains inside to view, and several engines and coaches outside to view and visit. Lots of good history of the area. One interesting display is on one of the posts in the... More

The 10-year-old picks this site for his interest and the younger ones love the climbing and running. Big trains and miniatures. Great station!

I will have to say that I really didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. My daughter and I loved it! So much knowledge of the past, the way it was done back in the day. Lots of photo ops as well!

I left from this station on a train for Houston in 1956. We traveled to Calif and it was a fantastic journey. The museum itself is done up with a lot of thought and pride. Spent a couple hours there.

Great family fun, with small kids. Actually got to ride in a real small caboose. Really neat model train displays

We enjoyed our visit! It is definitely worth your time. The place had a nice layout and a variety of displays. We spent 2.5 hours and then walked out on The Strand. The employees/volunteers were extremely friendly. I wish the adult pricing was a little less but not overpriced. A nice gem in the area that should be supported.
