This Museum gives you the history of the Texas Revolution and has the original Cannon which fired the first shot of the Texas Revolution. And the other side has all kinds of interesting artifacts from all different eras.

This was a welcomed stop and visit on our trip to Palmetto State Park - very interesting info on Texas Independence history - and it was free!!! Highly recommended!

Wow! The actual cannon! Surprised how small it was compared to the wagon that held it! Great informative guy at museum who knew all things Gonzales and was very friendly, Came home with COME AND TAKE IT stuff. Texas history buffs should all come here!

This museum offers a look into Texas history. It houses the canon used in the Texas Revolution. History buffs would enjoy a visit to this museum. You can't miss it with the reflection pool in front.
