Bring AAA card!

Excellent trip to the museum. Loved the Gem exhibit. It was more than I had expected. Everything well thought out! Would go again and again if I lived here. Don't forget AAA card.

Well interesting the museum, lots of cool things like the area of the dinosaurs, egypt and animals. The only thing I did not like was the queue to buy tickets that was a bit slow and was very big when I went and also they have some attractions that are charged the part, I think unfair, since the price is... It may not be the best in the world but it is certainly extensive with the new paleontology section along with the older sections of minerals, oil exhibits, Egypt, etc. I enjoy going there several times a year.

I should start by saying that my homeschooled son take classes here once a month during the school year. They are excellent & very informative. Most of our visits to the museum are after his classes end for the day. 3 years of classes & we still enjoy staying for the exhibits. We will often pay to see one of... More

This is one of my favorite places in all of Houston. I learn something new every time I go, and I basically spend too much money there and need to just become a member already... Well worth the visit, especially if you're coming from out of town. Please see the butterfly exhibit while you're there!

One of my favorite museums in Houston. Not only are the permanent exhibits terrific but they also have absolutely incredible guest exhibits very seldom offered elsewhere. A few years ago, I saw the Australopithecus from Ethiopia "Lucy" there (Seattle was the only other place in the US where Lucy was exhibited). This time a superb exhibit on Mummies. I loved... More

Love the butterflies! So much to learn from science and outdoors. We can't wait to go back in the summer time.

I have seen Magna Carta there as well as numerous other exhibits. The dinosaur exhibit is a trip in and of itself. Even if you are "not into science" at the least you will be engaged by something there.

There are so many points of interest in this museum that would appeal to all ages the I recommend you allow at least a day. Highlights included: The dinosaur section with all exhibits clearly labeled and cleverly staged The model railway that was on display just before Christmas showing many aspects of American landscapes The stunning gem collections that were...
