My husband was in the Merchant Marine and is interested in ships, so we decided to go to the museum. The fellow that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable. Very intricate models on display.

We arrived in Houston a little early and had some time to kill. Checked the GPS and saw that this museum was on the way to our destination. Since I have been reading a lot about the British Navy recently I wanted to see what...More

My son and I visited this place and he loved it. He's big into boats and the Titanic at the moment so this was right up his alley. It looks small from the outside but don't let that discourage you, it is worth it. The...More

Always had a fondness for small, out of the way museums with a tight focus. This is an excellent example of why. The history of ships and sailing with a sideline focus on Houston, its port, and the Gulf of Mexico. Mostly magnificent models and...More

A great collection of ship models of all kinds and lovely docents but poorly displayed in an old house. Apparently they are raising money to build a brand new museum. Hope that happens because there are better museums in Houston to visit than this one.
