We love the Children's Museum of Houston. The Metropolis city with all the career choices and "real-life" responsibilities and pay checks teach children about the value of hard work. The various science, cultural, and "everyday" city exhibits help parents witness firsthand the activities that spark your child's interest. There is plenty to keep you busy at all ages and levels... My grandkids were visiting from Fort Worth and I decided to take them to the museum. I had taken them a few years ago but they did not seem to enjoy it much. They are now 8 and 10. this is probably the best age to take them. this time they loved it. They were fascinated by all the exhibits... More

In summer and on weekends it can get a bit crowded but the kids love it, especially 'Kidtropolis' a typical town with shops and businesses where the children can 'work' as employees to earn a paycheck that can then be deposited into their bank account and they can use the cash and their ATM card to make purchases at the... My Grandson loves to visit and I always learn something too! They have a great outdoor water display, so fun in Houston's heat.

Kids love this place since it has a million things for them to do. Lots of hands on stuff here. A few things don't make sense as they aren't easily explained. For example, there is a fake town with a bank, a mini City Hall, Police department and a grocery store. Your child picks up a card that resembles a... More

I took my two grandchildren, ages 5 and 7, to this and although they complained about the trip as we left home, we could have used crowbars in our efforts to pry them away. Although the museum goes to considerable lengths to make the experience educational, the simple fact is that, for this age range at least, it is a... More
