Selections of works to be performed for both the Classical and POPS series, whether familiar or "non-standard" are almost always crowd pleasers, and are consistently very well performed. The "Very Merry POPS" concert in December is, year-after-year, one of the most joyful and memorable events...More

About 5 years ago, the Symphony offered special pricing on tickets that was too good to pass up. We bought a mini season package and have since relished in the sounds and the emotions invoked by our experiences at the symphony. We are now full...More

Moved to Houston 18 months ago and the Symphonic has been one of my best surprise (among several others) in town. Beautiful location. Very comfortable seats and view. Orchestra is excellent. Prices can be spicy but one can find very good buys as well. Repertory...More

The Houston Symphony truly is world class and is a pleasure to listen to. I happen to like Jones Hall although it doesn't have the acoustics of some of the best halls. Still, I'll miss it if and when they spend a few hundred million...More

We have had subscriptions here for the last two years and have really enjoyed it. Jones Hall is a lovely venue, great acoustics and comfortable seating. The orchestra offers a really wide variety of classical and popular shows.

The new conductor, Estrada, is exciting. We have been to orchestras around the world and by far, Houston has the best.

Went to listen to the Houston Symphony playing Beethoven. They had 3 soloists, one on Cello, one on Violin, and a pianist. The symphony and performance was outstanding. Excellent acoustics allow you to enjoy the venue from anywhere in the auditorium.

Wonderful concert recently. We had dinner at the concert hall beforehand - choice of pasta, salads and pain is ( though v long queue that evening ). Excellent acoustics meant that even though we didn't have expensive seats we enjoyed the concert hugely. Highly recommended.
