Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love this little garden. It has sculptures created by old masters like Rodin and Matisse and more modern pieces like the monumental Cloud Column that looks like a big shiny bean. It's located across from the Museum of Fine Art. There are winding paths and lots of trees. It never seems to be crowded. Great place to take photos. If you get hungry, the museum cafe is located right next door. Entry to the garden is free. Parking is available at the MFAH parking garage. Nice spot to visit the next time you're at the museum.

This is a wonderful sculpture garden owned and maintained by the MFAH who's buildings are nearby. The garden has a nice mix of art, some modern and some of a more classical style. There are chairs and tables if you want to bring a lunch to eat or to just sit at and enjoy the view. There are security guards from the museum wondering around so it is very safe.

A fabulous garden with outstanding sculpture- Rodin, Matisse, etc. The grounds are beautiful with lovely trees, even in December. It’s located only one block from the Fine ARts Museum! It’s well worth a visit.

I love this sculpture garden. There is plenty to see and plenty of places to sit. If you can ignore the traffic, then this is a great place to find a bit of peace and serenity. Either with kids and a panic, or just yourself and a book.

We enjoyed this relatively small sculpture garden that is located across the street from the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. It is free to enter and enjoy. The sculptures are clearly identified with small plaques located nearby. One of the attractions that is fun to see in these gardens is the Cloud Column which is on a much smaller scale than Chicago's "Bean". We were there on a pretty cool day in Houston and we were pretty much the only visitors. I would recommend a stop here if you are in the area and like sculptures.

Not to many sculptures, my expectation was higher. Nice view of the area on the roof top of the adjacent building.

I came across this gem of a place while going to the art museum from the parking garage area. Wow, it is a great place to walk around. Beautiful sculptures strategically placed in an open area.

Close to the newly open roof top garden on the top of the school of art. Plaza is filled with sculptures that the museum owns. Tables are in the area where you can sit and read or bring a lunch and eat out doors. Very peaceful area.

Cloud Column (sculpture by Anish Kapoor of Chicago’s Cloud Gate fame) is not really part of the Cullen Sculpture Garden, but since it adjoins the Garden, for practical purposes it is. The Sculpture Garden has been a favorite Arts District stop of mine for years, and the only place other than France or The Rodin Museum In Philly where 3 Rodin Sculptures can be seen at one location! Cloud Column by itself is worthy of a visit. I love the MFAH description of the sculpture that mentions some people refer to it as “El Frijole”: “The play between the convex and concave surfaces establishes a dual reality, as the elongated core of the sculpture presents the world upside down, bringing the heavens down to earth.”

Lovely to walk around and see the sculptures. This outdoor area belongs to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, you can just walk up to it and view the sculptures but you'll need to pay for parking unless you're lucky and find a space on the street.
