I'm from the U.K. and the food here is authentic. It's a bit pricey but well worth a stop. I'll be coming back here when I'm next in Houston.

This is a good place to go to. Good beer and food is great. You pay a little bit more but it is worth it, plus the portions are bigger anyway. Service is good and there are a few TV's to watch the football. Has a patio area out the front and a reasonably sized car park.

Returned to the Red Lion with an out of town friend. Beer chilled and the food was well prepared and plentiful. Sausage rolls and fish and chips. Can't get more Brit than that and the fish was cooked perfectly. Friendly and efficient wait staff, in fact all the staff seemed happy. Always a good sign.

An English house in the center of Houston. Entering this building it's like entering in England. Very nice experience!

After suffering three weeks of a miserable flu that resulted in having to cancel travel plans to visit family for Thanksgiving, I had pretty much resigned myself (in a whiny bout of flu-induced self-pity) to suffering a miserable non-Thanksgiving. While by Thanksgiving Day I was over the bug, I was still very weak AND hungry AND increasingly testy that I... More

We've been frequent visitors to Red Lion for a number of years, and just now thought to write a review. Just a delight. A short but intriguingi house drinks list, a bit longer but reliable wine list, and a really serious list of domestic and international brews - our favorite is the Old Speckled Hen, a draft beer at Red... My wife and I were looking for something different to do on a Saturday night and the Red lion seemed to be the place. It had a dark atmosphere you would expect in a pub with lots of laughter. There was also an area outside with a fire pit. I had a draft beer and my wife had a mixed... More

Atmosphere feels like a 1970s British pub. Food is eclectic with some standbys like fish n chips and shepherds pie. The bread pudding was divine. Come here and relax you will not be disappointed.
