Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The lights were beautiful! The short school bus with the roof cut off as a convertible was cool. The driver gave us a smooth ride. The negative review is for the experience Mr. McKinney, the guide gave me. Our group of 12 was asked to fill out our names, emails, and cell phone #'s (he promised it wasn't to be sold or to receive promotions) but they couldn't be the same as others in our household. I asked why and was told he needed it in case we were in an accident to be able to contact us. I questioned this as well and was told because it's his bus and his tour. He then asked 2 members of my party separately (friends of over 20 years) if I was going to be a problem and if he should let me on the bus. They were taken aback at that questioning but vouched for me. Before boarding the bus or right as it was starting he collected the mandatory tips of at least 20%. (My understanding of tipping is that it is at your discretion at the end of the service provided and based on the level of service.) The tour gets started and he asked who had been before and if we would like his page. I didn't raise my hand so he called me out, by name, and I told him "we'll see". (I haven't done it yet so why would I recommend it until it's over and I see what it's like?) The tour progresses with the bus parking before the 1st house for several minutes of history then we are rolling thru seeing lights, hearing history of owners. There are scattered questions of some houses or famous people and if we would be seeing their houses. I had asked 1 or 2 of those questions but certainly not all. He tells the tour that he doesn't take requests for houses to drive by, he has a set route. (No one was making a special request. ) He then pointed out a high rise on our return to the parking lot and some famous residents or ex-residents and I ask about Former President Bush and received a snarky answer about how he doesn't know everything about everyone and that I was allowed only 1 more question, again calling me out by name causing some looks at me from other passengers. As we return he asked for a show of hands for those who had learned something or liked the tour. When I didn't raise my hand he again called me out by name and questioned me specifically that I hadn't learned anything. (I guess the other choice was self evident.) Then as we left the bus he asked my friend if I was okay then asked my husband if he was my husband and if he knew if I was okay.
I would recommend some other tour (we saw horse-drawn carriages) or just search the internet for maps, driving suggestions, or where to park and walk it. Don't give your money to this guy.

Many people are not aware of where to see the documentaries that are nominated for an Oscar. We have been going to the Museum of Fine Arts yearly to view these incredible short films. If you want a truly interesting and thought provoking experience, I highly recommend you go on to the MFA's website to see the scheduled times. There's still time to do this as they are running through the 25th. It's the only venue we have found that shows them all. We felt the animated ones were not as good as in the past years, but still interesting. Once you've attended these, you'll be hooked for the next year. We still discuss ones we've seen several years earlier. The topics are bound to touch everyone in some way!

We chose to do Attractions With a Spin for a bachelorette party and had a blast! Brittany was so helpful and made the reservation process very easy. She made sure we were well taken care of the entire time and chose several fun spots for us to stop. It was the best pub crawl I have ever done. Highly recommend!

Attractions with a Spin was amazing! Brittany was very helpful by making sure I was able to reserve the time frame spot I wanted, and helping me decide on our 3 spots for the group. She was very informed, organized, friendly, and outgoing! My group of friends loved both her and the driver, they helped us have a very fun outing for our Birthday celebration! We had guests from Dallas, and even Virginia and they were very happy with the experience, what a great representation of how amazing Houston is! I definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Brittany, the owner of "Attractions With a Spin", was so wonderful in customizing my husband's 60th birthday party. We had such a great time learning about downtown Houston while biking, eating and drinking! I think this would be a great idea for team building for companies, and for all kinds of celebrations. I would definitely recommend them. Thank you so much!

Hi Marlene,
We do not offer a taxi service. Rather, groups rent out the vehicle and we customize a tour that meets their needs and the occasion. Tour options include sightseeing, pub crawls, progressive dinners, art murals, a historical tour with professional guide, and a Christmas Lighting tour for December. We make 3 - 4 stops per tour and the ride ends at the same location it started at. Pricing: $195/hr and includes a ride for 15 guests, two, 66 liter coolers, ice & cups, a keg and tap system, LED lounge-style lighting, speakers, fans, misters, a chauffeur, a party host, and discounts at many of the stops. Please check out our website or contact 774-451-0857
Thanks!!
