Independence, Texas, located on FM 50 between Bryan and Brenham, provides a glimpse of Texas history. In addition to Old Baylor Park, there are some old houses and monuments.

What a cool stop. Interesting history. First university in Texas. Built in 1800's. Definitely worth a stop. Lots of old buildings. See at you own pace.
