We visited here whilst doing the Labyrinth. There are gorgeous home made crafts I.e. Wood burning, candles, spell books, etc. Lovely little cafè for hot drinks

Dog friendly (except the chocolate shop) and such a nice morning/afternoon spent talking to and buying from local craftspeople. Cool to see and hear the jets doing the Mach Loop overhead too. Would recommend eating in the cafe too, the food is great and fresh (we had the Welsh Rarebit and the breakfast, and a pupaccino)

A busy day during the holidays.
Clean toilets and cafe
Shops expensive but many handmade items.
Pottery throwing (£35 per hour) and pottery painting looked good but area cramped.
Childrens activities.
Lots of doggie visitors.

Thank you for your review. During the holidays we strongly recommend that visitors pre-book the hands-on fun activities, in advance of arrival, as it can get busy. The fabulous Pottery Throwing and Pottery Painting activities can both be prebooked via the Quarry Pottery website.

We spent a few hours up at Cad West on the Mach Loop so decided to drop in here as it was so close. Coming from Norfolk, which has a thriving craft commuity of highly skilled artisans, we were curious. The full car park was a hopeful sign, but sadly, the crafts available were middling at best. The only good shop was the leather shop which had some lovely bags, but the lady behind the counter was sitting on a sofa entertaining boisterous children and not really engaging with her customers. This place is fine if you have kids and want to amuse them for a few hours but if kids are not your bag then use the loos and move on. A crafting paradise it is not, but if you want to get your kids into crafting, some of the workshops they can do would be good.

We're sorry to read that you didn't enjoy the quality crafts, designed and made here, in the 9 individual craft workshops as much as we would have liked.
Having been up at Cad West, we hope that you spotted our Mach Loop information boards and saw some of the aircraft flying overhead too.

Lovely crafty location and worth a visit even if you don’t book in for the other experiences. Something for all ages and lovely souvenir gifts. We loved watching the crafts people working on their projects!

What a delight this place is ! I organised a Sunday night stay in Aberdyfi for my husband and I and wanted somewhere to stop at on the way. After looking at the map I saw the 'Corris Craft Centre'
We arrived a bit before opening time on Sunday morning after a 2 and a half hour journey needing a toilet break. After seeing the entrance being open my husband enquired about using the toilets with the young chap that was busy cleaning. He said it was fine, which was great and we were very grateful.
We then decided to have some breakfast in the cafe which was absolutely lovely. The staff were so nice and the breakfast baps and coffee were just 'perfect' (It turned out to be the best food and drink we had all weekend) We saw the gorgeous looking cakes on offer so my husband actually picked some up just before leaving the centre to take with us. I had the lemon meringue pie which was beautiful and my husband had the passionfruit and white chocolate cake which was to die for !
We then took a lovely leisurely stroll around all the outlets which were lovely. So much choice of items and we never felt pressured into buying (although we did, as we fell in love with quite a few bits)
So we had a lovely stop off on our way to the seaside and it made the perfect break. As it turned out it was one of the highlights of our mini trip away last weekend. So thank you, the 'Corris Craft Centre' we hope to return when we can !

What a fabulously detailed review of your Sunday morning with us. We're so pleased that what began as a simple toilet break turned into one of the highlights of your trip to Wales. So much variety, almost always something new to see.
Great place to pick up quirky presents, have a browse, take a break from driving.

We visited early Oct 2022 on our way to Porthmadog after a 3 night long weekend stay in Clarach Bay, near Aberstwyth.
Lots to see and do at this craft centre, on a nice sunny day you could spend a whole day here. Lots of things to see and do for couples and familes with children.
FREE TO ENTER centre and to visit all the craft buildings.
9 individual craft studios where the talented artists, craftspeople, designers and makers create an eclectic mix of quality products. Corris Craft Centre is set against a densely wooded backdrop in this very special part of Mid Wales, in the foothills of southern Snowdonia
Various buildings showcasing crafts, wares and goods - Candle making, wood, Glass, Leather/Wool, Jewellery, Pottery (can even make your own pot and they will fire it and post it to you).
We didn't use the cafe, but they had a good menu and lots of customers that day.
The gin distillery was of high interest to us (endorsed by TV's Alan Titchmarch).
It's not cheap, but we agreed that it is probably the best Gin in the world - all ingredients locally foraged/sourced. So you get what yoy pay for - Bespoke Quality and taste. It was the best Gin we both ever tasted so we brought two bottles.
You only have to pay if you want to visit - King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Mine Explorers and Lost Legends of The Stone Circle all start from the Corris Craft Centre.
Corris Craft centre bit of everything for all ages.
We would highly recommend.
Warm Regards, D&K G. Shropshire

Yes, dogs are welcome to the Corris Craft Centre and can go into all of the Craft Studioes except for the Chocablock Choclate studio. However, they have a special hook outside of their studio where you can leave your dog should you wish to go inside.
Dogs can not go inside the Cafe but they are welcome in our outdoor seating area where food and drinks are also served.
Dogs can also explore our outdoor maze "Lost Legends of The Stone Circle" where ancient myths and legends are hidden. Due to the conditions underground, dogs can not go into either of the underground adventures; King Arthur's Labyrinth or Corris Mine Explorers.
