We recently returned to the Las Colinas area and we were so pleased to find the canals and their surrounding walking paths. Flat, stable, and well-lit, folks can feel safe here most any time of day. The walk is about 6 miles all the way around, but there are shortcuts and paths you can take for shorter, 2-mile walks. People... More

This is by far a hidden gem in Los Colinas. I love walking and biking along this scenic canal with lots of great paths and sights.

This are is has so much character! I brought a light lunch with me and sat along the canal to just enjoy the scene. I took lots of pictures. The walls , archways, stairs , and bridge gave me lots of photo ops!

I just finished a morning run at the trail. It is peaceful and a great place for pictures. I totally recommend.

This was a nice way to spend a little free time on my current business trip to Dallas. The walkway is clean and is well maintained, although there is one spot that needs some repairs. We started out at the Omni hotel and walked all the way around and ended up back at the Omni; however you couldn't access the... More

There are miles of canal to walk beside in Las Colinas. It's a bit more congested in the areas with many business and bars. This is a great place to run (except when you run through puffs of smoke from employees taking their break). The Kidd Kradick studio is located here. There is a canal fest once a year (It's... More

If you visit Dallas and get a chance to venture to Irving, Then I would suggest checking this part of the city out! If you don't mind walking around and enjoying some fresh air (Closer to mid fall would be my suggestion!) and to grab a piece of serenity... This would be your best bet!

Great experience for someone looking for something both different to do as well as romantic. A touch of Venice in Texas.

Got curious about the Mandalay Canal which purportedly was reminiscent of Venice with the Gondola boat ride and all. It did remind me of Venice minus the smell of the canal and the crowded tourist. This canal by Las Colinas Blvd is so quiet, peaceful and clean. We started at the middle of the canal by the Venetian Terrace and... More
