My spouse and I took the 10:30 Friday Night Fright train. There were a few surprises along the way but for the most part it was not scary. We payed our $17 per ticket in advance the night of the ride. It must be pretty popular event because the earlier rides were sold out. We returned at the appointed time... More

I brought 14 people here for my sons 15th birthday. We paid $168 dollars and were so disappointed. There was nothing scary about this ride the props were so dull. The narrator tells stories and you expect things to happen and nothing happens. I will never do this again. Their making tons of money and you get nothing outta this.... More

We took the kids (9 & 11)on the fright night train ride. It was cute not scary at all. The decorations are not very elaborate, canvas and wood cut out. There were a couple "scares"just enough to keep their attention. My only complaints are the story told was all over the place and the narrator read very monotone and I... More

Even the kids on the ride seemed bored. young boy behind us said the antique stores were more interesting. I would pass on this one.

I've gone on this train ride multiple times over the years. The haunted train and Christmas train rides are my favorite. The story tellers are amazing.

I call and asked if I could reserve they said they would take my name and how many people think they took #. Weather had been rainy earlier but had not rained in awhile. We were hour away drove up there and they canceled. They left the sign out front so unless you walked up to door you didn't know... More

During our visit the bayou was much wider than it normally is caused by recent heavy rainfall. The re-enactment of the great locomotive chase and naval battle nevertheless took place. The train rode through a foot of water ! I really enjoyed the scenery and the information that was given by the live narrator. It is worth the drive and... More

Very relaxing train trip out through the backside of the Bayou. Lots of information about the area and the town of Jefferson. would recommend to all with kids or just to sit and see the sights. The Bayou is really a special place.

A recommendation if you're sight-seeing this area. They also say Jefferson is haunted but it's very pretty area.

During this time of year, the train station & train are decorated for Christmas. Christmas music is played while an employee narrates the ride through the woods for you. The woods are decorated with lights (how'd they do that?) & different scenes throughout. Plan early, as tickets sell out fast.
