One of the most comprehensive small town museums we have ever visited! Artifacts, documents, photos, dolls, clothing, and helpful docents. Three floors of Kefferson, TX, history!

We enjoyed our visit to the museum and also to the model railroad which is in the small building behind the museum. The exhibits are interesting and well-maintained. The museum gave us a feel for the history of Jefferson.

If you're going to explore Jefferson, this is the place to start. I like to know the history of the places I go, and this museum was perfect. The exhibits were staged beautifully and I learned so much about the town.

We spent the morning browsing the 3 floors and basement of this quaint museum. Very interesting to see the donations of collections made by families that live in Jefferson. Some short films are also available.

Much better than anticipated. Informative, lots and lots of things to see. The train museum in back is neat, but not sure worth the extra money. We parked here and saw the museum and then walked around town. Neat little town.

There are some good artifact, especially furniture, and rare precious exotic items from Asia, Russia and Europe. The exhibit on pianos was also interesting. also The doll collection is a bit creepy, but overall, it can be more organized and displayed only more refined items.
