Easy to find!

Wanted to see as Holley is a family name and that's what Buddy Holly's real last name was. Easy to find the gravesite once inside the cemetery.

Very close to the Buddy Holley Museum and statue (about 5 minutes away). Worth the trip to see the gravesite of the legendary Buddy Holley.

The Buddy Holly grave is right next to the road where the sign is pointing. Some of the other Holley family are buried a little further in but his is pretty easy to find.

Found the cemetery and just inside to the right is Buddy Holly's grave. Family plot has other Hollys but Buddy's is closest to the road. While there we met someone who knew Buddy Holly as a boy. Comes there about once a year and was very talkative and gave us a lot of info about Buddy as a young boy... More

The City of Lubbock cemetery is always a nice place for me to visit as my parents and grandparents are buried there. They keep it clean and well maintained.

A leisurely tour of this cemetery can teach a good bit of history. Buddy Holly's grave is a known attraction, but a little study will show how segregated our community has been over time. There is a Jewish section; a section predominantly Hispanic, a small area for indigent babies with small poured concrete markers, etc. A search will reveal veterans... More

I was surprised to see that they didn't have a small setup for Buddy Holly. The cemetery is very nice, but it is pretty big so pay attention to where you're at so you don't take forever to get. It was cool to see that people leave guitar picks and trinkets on Holly's stone.

I have always loved the Lubbock Cemetary, there are so many beautiful trees, and all the streets are named after flowers or trees. The Lubbock Cemetary is very peaceful with many different and unique headstones and memorials. The large Angel statue at the front of the cemetary is my favorite, very majestic and comforting. It really doesn't matter what time... More

If you are traveling through Lubbock you should take a few minutes to stop in and at least check out Buddy Holly's grave. It's a fairly decent size cemetery but beautiful just to drive through. Especially if your into cemetery trips. Lubbock's "Hells Gate" is located very close to the back side of the cemetery as well!

If you're going to see the Buddy Holly Center, you may as well stop here as well. It's a well maintained cemetery. Leave a token as a tribute. It's not hard to find. Turn right on the first road after the main entrance.
