Vouliagmeni Lake, in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, is the hidden...

Vouliagmeni Lake, in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, is the hidden treasure of Attica's nature. Situated on an idyllic landscape, this rare geological phenomenon is waiting to be discovered. The lake's brackish waters which are continuously replenished both by the sea and the underground thermal springs offer a natural and unique thermal spa experience.

Swimming at the Lake is an holistic experience all-year round. The water’s healing properties and the stable temperature, combined with the benefits swimming offers to the body and soul, promise a unique leisure activity. The Lake’s water gushes from springs 50 to 100 meters deep and have a temperature ranging between 22 to 29 degrees Celsius throughout the year.

Even more the small fish called Garra Rufa, also known as Doctor Fish or Spa Fish, indigenous and natural inhabitants of the Lake, promises visitors a unique peeling experience.

Didn't get a chance to actually go inside as we were, there for a quick drive, but the people there seemed to be having a ball. You need to pay to get in so at least you don't get riffraff in there.

This lake belongs to Greece's Natura 2000 network and is naturally beautiful place to see. We went there because my friend loves sun bathing and swimming. And must say that after two days in Athens, it was a relaxing break. Nicely organized place with good services: restaurant, showers, locker rooms. Ticket was around 10 euros, we had a City Sightseeing... More

Wanted to get out the city, without the hassle of a greek island. Perfect place, 30 minute Uber from near the acropolis (€17~). Beautiful place, very chilled and a great pedicure from the fish as well. Food was great as well.

It is just rain water! Don't see any thermal water coming from anywhere. Didn't honor the discount for city sighting bus tickets, giving different reasons like my bus tickets were not valid anymore (they were valid for 48 hours), discount only given to first two calendar days (I bought at 4pm), even said they were used to buy tickets (I... I endorse all the good reviews. We have been to the Blue Lagoon in Iceland and enjoyed this much more, for much less money, because it is really well set up to help make it relaxing. It is a very attractive small lake, pleasant to swim in - about as hot as a UK indoor pool - sheltered, with sun... More

Impressive place for half a day out and about ! We didnt have a car so to get there, about 30 kms from Athens, we used the City Sightseeing open top red buses. Their Riviera Line only costs 25 euros, including a bus tour of historical Athens. ( It leaves from stop 2 opposite the Temple of Zeus on Amalias... More

Great place to visit ! We spend all day at the lake. It's natural anti stress. The fish will make for you unforgettable manicure & pedicure. The entrance is 12 euro, but with ticket of red bus( City sightseeing) is 9euro.The water is from 22-25 degrees! The food in the restaurant is delicious as well.

This is a really nice lake, with good amenities. nice platform to walk along and into the lake for a swim, or just relax on a sunlounger for drinks and a bite to eat. However on this occasion words will not explain. Just have a look at the photos, and then plan it into your trip. €12 entry per person... More

It is €12 each (see photo number 10 for complete price list) to go inside where you can use sun loungers & outdoor tables & chairs and put your feet into to lake for the little fish to nibble (photo 9) or swim further out where the fish don't bother you. Or you could just sit in the outside covered... More
