Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Until last month we hadn't been back to Vouliagmeni since Covid and had been going every year to visit family. We can walk to the town beach so our apt location is ideal but they have really changed everything as it relates to the beach. It's now 10 euro/day, 15 on weekends to get in to the 'public beach'. They have privatized half of the beach area with upper scale amenities for 65 euro/day which you have to reserve online in advance. What we observed every day was that everyone piled into the cheaper section, and never saw more that two or three people using the reserved seats. As a result we had to get to the beach before 10 am (9 on weekends) to get a decent seat. This was only June so I can only imagine the summer will be like. I suspect they will have to modify this plan as it doesn't appear to be yielding the right results. Who knows, maybe when the European tourists come in July/August, they may pay that much, but I doubt it because you can get a better deal on the Islands. I hope this helps save some of you some aggravation and money.

The beach is clean and the water is fabulous. Entry fee is 10 euro per adult and if you get there before 10-11 am there are plenty of sunbeds to choose from.

No towels provided, so make sure you bring your own.

I gave 4 stars are there aren't too many options for lunch and because I do not think sunbeds are sanitized. I would recommend you do it before putting your towels down.

When I visited the place , it seemed full and I asked to enter and check if there are available umbrellas and sun beds. They did not let me in without paying and reassured me that there are available umbrellas. I paid for the entrance and could not find where to sit. I simply decided to ask for my money back and they refused to refund me and refused to listen to me. The guy responsible for the entrance was very rude and just called for the next customer.
The business is very disorganized and stuff dishonest and unwilling to take responsibilities for their mistakes.

We visited this beach on a saturday. Only thing we didn't like was the staff. They were acting rude, shouting, didn't boder to help, answering some questions. The place is nice, with clear water, the sand is not the best but is fine. There are restaurants close and easy acces to water sports.

The beach is nice, however I’m strongly against the privatization of beaches as I feel it’s just a way to explore people. Even if you just want to go take a walk you have to pay. I felt that on the bar they should have more hot meals made to order as the sandwiches were pretty bad. Go very early to get a nice place or any place at all really, crystal water and no trash or rubbish on the sand or sea but a pretty simple beach beauty-wise, overall pretty good experience

To be fair it was cool and raining but...

Nearly 30 stairs up and down poorly lit.

Incredibly noisy. High prices for the fish.

I chose a snapper from the viitrine betifullyy cooked but it disappeared for 10 minutes to be filleted and was then cold.

Waited forever fir our wine and then they only bought one glass.

Seriously understaffed. Barbara did well and Matina tried but...

We l cannot recommend it. Try Labros!

I was very disappointed of the people that works there. I came to the beach in the morning and left to have a lunch for an hour. When I was leaving I asked if my ticket will be available for entrance, the answer was yes. But when I came back back I was refused. When I asked for the reason no one could explain me adequate reason...and for how long ticket is available.

Sun beds for two. Ease of arrival and stress free day even at the busiest of times. Service was excellent. Beach is clean. Our little Maltese was not allowed but we knew in advance:). Separate parking was excellent and secure. Price entails it.

We loved our time here and would definitely come back to this beach. It is well maintained, so clean, the water is crystal clear and you can feel the sand beneath your feet in the sea (rather than any rocks). It was only €4 for a ticket to enter the beach, which includes a sunbed and umbrella in the price. The cafe is great too and really affordable (it is the same price as newsagents in Athens so you can easily buy drinks). There are lots of green areas to play ball games, there are volleyball and basketball courts, and the sea has lots of equipment for children/teenagers/fun adults to use. It's perfect for all ages. The toilets are clean and there are perfect changing rooms to use too, and showers to use as well.

We travelled here from Syntagma square in Athens. We took the T5 tram all the way to Voula Beach. Voula Beach has closed down and had been left to rot away! We were so disappointed and I then researched how to get to Akti Vouliagmenis instead. We took a bus for 20 minutes and reached this paradise.

We took the 122 bus all the way back to a metro stop to get back to Athens. This bus isn't that frequent and was completely packed! But this beach was completely worth it :) We visited in June and it was open until 9pm.

Really great place to rest and relax. You have to buy a ticket, but it includes a sunbed and an umbrella. The beach is very clean as well as water. Totally recommend.
