You’ll walk a long way in the Prince’s Park wondering if you’ll ever get there, but be brave and walk on, for it’s worth the effort! The advertising says something about “labourers,” and maybe even “cottage,” but don’t be fooled. This is the most amazingly...More

We had a lovely day out in Aranjuez a few Sundays back and this house was the highlight of the day. We had pre-booked tickets for this small group tour (Spanish language only) the day before. (I've written separate reviews on TA for the palace...More

Well worth a visit to see the beautiful furnishings that have been untouched and kept as they were. Guided tour is very interesting. 5 euros to enter. Tour lasts about 45 minutes. I would recommend this place

We took the small train ride, it was worth it. Absolutely stunning. Do visit if you want to enjoy some visual pleasure.

Silk lined walls, painted ceilings and stone fitted floors form the background scenario against which countless works of art are displayed: paintings,...More

After a pleasant hike through the park the exterior of the house looms and is impressive with statues and a courtyard. Alas, only group tours in Spanish entertained. No information in English and rather grumpy staff. No facilities.

Walking through the galleries is like walking the past in history. Immense corridors, with hundreds of dwellings, large gardens and big plaza area.

After walking 3km in blistering heat to get here I am met by a rude man who tells me guided tours only and that the next is at 7pm...it is currently 5.30pm. Very disappointed about the lack of information given.

The guided tour was well beyond my expectations. Having the opportunity to explore the hunting palace almost as it was 200 years ago is a rare privilege. Some of the rooms were as magnificent as Versailles, with the added bonus that all--paintings, ceilings, floors, silks,...More
