You get a better view from Carnan Eoin and Beinn an Sgoltaire, the whole area comes into play. The livestock also feel at home wandering the beach.

Colonsay's most accessible beach, and big enough to not feel crowded. in warm weather you do have to share it with cattle, which is an unusual sight. The beach shelves gently and it's a great place for children, with some rock pools and a cave...More

A stunning and beautiful place you could spend all day soaking in the peace and quiet. Perfectly clear water and not a spot of litter ( very rare nowadays) I will be back.

Huge beach at walkable distance from the dock. When we visited the island there was also a dead whale stranded! The beach itself it's amazing and there is plenty of space to brings your dogs or children to play!

Kiloran is a beautiful beach and Carnan Eoin, the small hill at the northern end of the beach is worth a scramble as it is the highest point on the island and the views are spectacular

I spent the week in a lovely cottage over looking the beach and it is a lovely quiet place for a holiday. Walking, bird watching or just getting away from it all.

Going to Oronsay by car is very difficult and as it is a a RSPB reserve cars would be unlikely allowed . The track across to the island is very difficult and could be dangerous as the tide comes in very quickly
