Millions of shells and pieces of shells surround and invade the shallow waters of Shelly bay. Great spot for families and couples.

We didn't stop for the beach or the playground. We just happened to be driving by when we saw a beautiful sunset - and Shelly Bay Beach is a good place to stop for just such a photo op. We will come back on some warmer day to enjoy the sandy beach and water but during the winter it's a... More

Shelly Bay Beach is known for family fun. Unlike the South Shore beaches on the island; during the summer months, it is the preferred beach for non swimmers, families with young children and for summer camps. During low tide, non swimmers can walk a good distance out in the water with young children and the water level may not even... More

We wanted to dip our toes in the Caribbean Sea, and this was the perfect place for it. There are better beaches for snorkelling and diving, but this one is walking distance of the centre of town, and uncrowded when we were there in the late morning.

Beautiful beach, very quiet. Very shallow for quite a way out so would be good for children. Also there is a small park next to it with childrens swings.

This is the place for a quiet beach not over crowded and the wave is calm and the beach is very flat. I like the trees close to the shore to have some shades and privacy.

This is within walking distance from where my daughter lives so it is go to beach for a quick swim. Calm crystal clear water. On a windy day, good place to kite surf.

Went to see sunset while wading in the water. Had broken glass on beach. The bathrooms were not clean-toilets were stopped up. No changing facilities.

Local beach, with no amenities. Not highly recommended, bring your own lunch, popular with locals .....

Shelly Bay is different from the South-shore beaches in Bermuda. Due to its shape and protection form waves the water has the same depth for about 500 meters/yards, and usually there are no high waves. At low tide the water reaches only your knees, thus great for families with small children (there is a playground behind the beach as well),... More
