Perfectly pleasant people but they didn't really offer any help (perhaps a language thing) and took us upstream which meant we were paddling down to Le Bugue through beautiful but rather samey scenery with no villages or chateaux or landmarks other than trees. Would have preferred more information and to canoe downstream from Le Bugue through villages and chateaux etc. Canoe big enough for 2 dogs, 2 people and a container for our belongings.

Three friends and I spent a delightful few hours on the rivers Dordogne and La Vezere. Taken by minibus with the canoes, oars, lifejackets and our dry tub to our launch point and promptly collected several hours later as arranged at our pick up point at Bac de Sors. On route we saw numerous herons, cormorants, kingfishers and a couple of large fish and a yellow wagtail. The water was low in a number of places meaning we had to get out and free ourselves but this all added to the fun! Didn’t meet anybody on the river until we approached Bac de Sors. The staff at canoeric were extremely helpful and thankfully spoke very good English which meant we could easily arrange the trip to our requirements and within the time we had available. Full marks for a very enjoyable experience. Thankyou.

Excellent day out. We booked this 2 days before. Hired 2 kayaks with 2 large wet tubs to keep our kit and picnic in. We are novices but we able to manage this. We took the 2 hour trip from LeBugue to Sors. The Vesaire river shallow but lots of rocks and we beached a couple of times. Wd managed the confluence of the 2 rivers. The Dordogne easier but deeper and some stronger current there. Staff very friendly at the booking hut. Bit chaotic picking up at minibus. Really glad we went for this. It was hard work but enjoyed it.

We hired a 4 man canoe as we're total novices! We booked on line the night before and this was necessary at this time of year. We turned up in Le Bugue which was really easy to find just behind the aquarium. Parking was easy too in the morning but looked alot busier when we returned in the afternoon. We were given lifejackets and oares, shown our canoe and told to row with the flow of the river to our pick up point at the allocated time to be returned by bus. The only thing I would say is that it would have been nice to have a little direction on how to navigate a canoe! Abit of trial and error and we sorted it but had a few "moments". The river though is very shallow and calm. We had to get put of the boat a couple of times to dislodge ourselves from the shallow areas! Overall a beautiful experience and one we're really pleased we did as a family.

Beautiful views along the calm and shallow in parts la Vezere river. Lovely and helpful staff - the lady even let me buy a baguette from her for our lunch. Our 3 kids loved this experience.

Having been canoeing on the Dordogne a couple of days previously we decided to look for a different experience. We chose CANOËric and they quickly got us prepped up and ready to go with lifejackets, canoes and paddles. They transferred us 15 km upstream. The river is very different to Dordogne as it is quieter, has fewer people on it and not many places to stop. In fact the only place to stop was a small temporary island in the middle of the river.
We floated and paddled down the Vézère river to the CANOËric base itself and then drove home. 15km over three hours and about €17 each.

we went for the 21 km trip and we had a great time. A complement to Chantalle for coordinating the last minute zo well. Responses to my e-mails were super quick which was vers pleasant. Also nice that Canoeric has a nice bar area at their site and that you can park there for free.

We were advised by our Alfresco rep David about Canoeric at Le Bugue - all we can say is they are excellent.
We had a great journey along the river from Le Bugue to Sors. The trip took 2 hours and we were collected and taken back to Le Bugue in a minibus. There are some amazing views along the river - you will not be disappointed.
You will need to bring or buy water shoes - as you will need to hop out of your boat/kayak as there are several very shallow sections. The kayak easily overcame these sections.
Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Great afternoon out for us as a family of 4 (x2 adults and x2 kiddies 6y and 8y). Although 2 hours was just about enough for our kiddies before getting bored.
This is a must do if you are in the area!

We booked a three hour trip for two adults and two children (aged 8 and 10). We were dropped off on the river and headed back to Le Bugue.
It was great fun, the river was a little shallow in places and the advice to stick to the middle of the river may not always have been the best plan! Even so we all enjoyed looking at the wildlife and scenery and despite a heavy downpour had a fabulous time. The staff advised us well on which type of canoe to hire. We were also offered a waterproof container for our valuables, which given the weather was much needed. I would definitely recommend it, even though the life jackets did seem a bit overboard for a river that was barely six inches deep in places.

Very helpful and friendly staff! We took two young children and the course recommended was perfect. We went from Campange, and it really was a beautiful trip! For our first time on a canoe we were given great advice and nothing seemed to much to ask.
