Lovely museum with surprisingly good wheelchair access, made very welcome nothing too much trouble. Lots of very interesting collections, well worth a visit.

Having missed visiting this museum a few times before because it was closed, we finally succeeded on an afternoon. We started by visiting its most interesting pieces, two beautifully decorated rooms, with carved wooden paneling depicting allegories of spring, summer, autumn and winter, later on...More

We went to this museum with low expectations since Saint-Omer is a small town of Pas-de-Calais. We were greatly surprised by this museum. It has a collection of art quite remarkable. It is an old mansion with beautiful paintings, Chinese porcelain, old furniture; beautifully decorated...More

When we entered into this museum, we expected to pay our fare. They refused. On Sunday, the museum was free. Wow! That is a bonus. In here were many beautiful paintings, some from the Flanders. Their furniture was quite unique as well. By the stairs...More

Another jewel in Saint-Omer's crown, along with the cathedral. The porcelain section is breathtaking, the pipes are interesting, and the artwork impressive, an extensive Middle Ages room, school of Velasques, Brueghel, and Jean-Marc Nattier's Madame de Pompadour as Diana, one of my personal favourites. Worth...More

A relatively small museum in a nice building in the centre of Saint Omer, with relics from the abbey, a few paintings, a lot of porcelain and a collection of swords and daggers. If you like museums, have a look. Admission inexpensive.

Well worth a visit with beautiful rooms with much wood carving and a wonderful collection of Chinese and mainly local china, as well as furniture, paintings, smokers' pipes and armoury.
