Obviously the area is looked after, and the carving on the stone interesting, but no display boards to say what it was or how it got like it, which is interesting as an internet search revealed it had been sold off as a quarry!

Worth the stop, it has good structure and like the cathedral it is very interesting, small parking spots on the back streets.

The entire town has a few paths to follow that explain the history. If you follow them you'll pass here too. To find the info panel of the abbey you need to do walk around the ruines.

I was quite impressed with the ruins. Easily accessible. Don't miss the statue of St Suger on the small square close by.

Of the remains of the Abbaye Saint-Bertin what remains is ruins, so this is what you will find, Interesting and in a nice park. If you are nearby it is worth he stop.
