We stayed in one of Ski Amis chalets, which had the perfect location for ski in/out, situated right by one of the main lifts. Chalet and hosts were great and the resort was nice but a little too quiet for us. No lively apre ski. But if you are looking for a quiet resort this is absolutely perfect. I wouldn't... More

Great alternative to Val Thorens, a lot cheaper and there is also plenty to do after a day on the slopes. Plenty of good restraints at good prices compared to some in Val T..!! The swimming pool / spa is also good but at 17 Euro per day..., a bit too much.

I visited Les Menuires in April. The weather was mixed, with a couple of days of complete white out - but equally 3 days of beautiful sunshine. It was busy - busy!! The lower slopes were dangerously over-crowded with many schools of children snaking across the slopes. Fine for advanced skiers to avoid, but I witnessed numerous beginner crashes! This... More

This is a typical french resort - build for the purpose of catering efficiently to a lot of tourists in winter - hence the architecture especially of the older accommodations brutalized the landscape. However, the resorts that have been build more recently are more respectful in that regard. The connection to its own slope as well as to the other... More

Each time we went there skiing we found a lot of people on the slopes and we had to wait a lot for the cable car.

Four mature friends on our first visit. .. obviously purpose built... compact shops and food outlets in the main centre . Catered for everything . We are experienced skiers but don't want nail biting teeth clenching runs. We were on blue all week. Some were definitely blue but a few had a touch of red which we called purple test... More

Les Menuires is a very nice resort, placed in a fabulous landscape. The infrastructure is impressive (they have many lifts that help you move easily through the resort) except for the parking which is insufficient. The French accommodation policies (for affordable accommodation) are a total nonsense and of course apply to 3 Vallees as well: - all accommodation starts and... More

If you are a snowboarder, be sure that the board is waxed, as there are plenty flat tracks (connections between the valleys, etc.) Lack of snow canons... There was almost no snowfall during the week we were there. At the end of the day lower pistes were all brown, full of dirt and stones. Rocks on the track is another... More

Wifi in LM and all the villages in Les 3 Vallees are to be paid for. Ridicoulous in this day and age. Also the restaurants don’t provide free wifi. Charging for electric cars is non-existing in these villages either. It is time for all the villages in Les 3 Vallees to keep up with time, and start investing in these... More
