A very large and god example of Buddhist temple situated with wonderful sea views and a good view down the coast. Also very close to the butterfly park and just up the road from the old town, so makes a good combined visit for a day.

The views are amazing. When we entered a kind man gave us a talk on how the paintings on the internal walls of the room depict the life of Buddha. As you go round you can see he started rich but one day realised there was so much poverty and hardship outside the walls of his palace. He left his... More

Best thing is the view from the outside. If you happen to visit the nearby butterfly park then you might want to just take a quick look but not worth a trip on its own.

I was staying in Mijas for a 3 day break and this was on my 'To Do' list. I was nervous about how to get there, as I was unfamiliar with public transport. Need not have worried. Frequent inexpensive buses from Mijas. As I got off the bus, there was a large lavendar bed, beautiful music from the butterfly park... More

What a beautiful serene building, so peaceful and with a view to die for, inside is smaller than I thaught but it's spence of calm is wonderful.

Just over the road from the butterfly house. Great views along the coast back to Fuengirola. Some nice paintings in side the temple. The aroma of insence is strong. There is a certain sense of peace and tranquility. Outside there is a small gift shop which holds only at most 4 people at a time. I suggest doing what we... More

Although we didn't get to go inside the temple as it was closing, we were able to take pictures outside. The views are incredible over a very select upmarket area filled with massive villas and based at the foothills of the mountains. One thing I noticed about the temple is the incredible sense of peace. We weren't there that long... More

It's a bit of a hike up from Torremuelle but worth the effort. Don't go there expecting to be entertained, it is after all a temple. The views down to the coast are fantastic, great photo opportunities.

Nowt worth seeing here, one big room, some lass sitting on the floor playing with rice, no information on what's going on,save yourself the effort of going, picking the fluff out of your belly button will be more interesting.
