if you are staying a bit in malaga try your best to see this one it's not an Andalusian site it's a recent one dedicated to colombus, but definitely worth a visit. You need to take a bus to Torremolinos (110) and from there take another one going to benalmedina and u'll walk from there. It's lovely by the sunset.... More

The castle looks a bit like a Hollywood set and not surprising since it was created by an American. Completed in 1994 it was built to celebrate the achievements of Christopher Columbus. The architecture includes all the main local styles such as Mudejar and Gothic as well as recognition of the the three main religions Christianity, Judaism and Islam. It's... More

Although a bit neglected of late (it is not a large place, and you can see labour hardware around; not quite a pleasant sight for the tourist) the place is really remarkable, beautiful and worth a visit.

The weather was overcast so we ventured to these follies, which turned out to be great. there are lots of different castes and follies to see. You could be Romeo and Julliet for the day?

What a great find while you are walking exploring Benalmadena! This magic castle suddenly appeared before us like a princess castle from fable. It is surrounded with beautiful green and has the amaising views from the top of hill. Our impressions encreased as we were almost alone in that magic world. Therefore the best time to visit the Castle is... More

You can walk if you like a hike or get the 121 bus from Arroyo to Benalmadena Pueblo...from there its a 15 minute walk. The castle is built in rememberance of Christopher Columbus... More
