This place is magical, truly magical. We saw it from our villa in Torremuelle and decided to pay a visit and boy am i glad i did. You can walk if you like a hike or get the 121 bus from Arroyo to Benalmadena Pueblo...from there its a 15 minute walk. The castle is built in rememberance of Christopher Columbus... More

Went to see this today was very easy to find, and was well worth the visit, now I am not normally easily pleased but I must say the time and work gone into making this almost like fairy tale castle was fantastic it was beautiful well worth 2 euros and free parking is possible on a patch of land about... Living on the coast, one day I randomly drove down this road and spotted the castle and thought I must visit this place one day. Today was the day! It's a charming mix of architectures overlooking the sea and we spent around 20 minutes poking around. I was disappointed the little chapel was closed but it was still an interesting... More

We'd taken a bus to visit old Benalmadena town, more like a village with whitewashed houses, charming and beautiful, we moved round to visit the church that unfortunately was closed and then we looked down to see this truly majestic castle. We made our way there on foot, paid something like 3 Euros to enter and spent a memorable 60... More

We enjoyed the attraction just before it shut parking just outside in the parking area at the side of the road. Big mistake going in, we were broken in to and all money stolen from our locked car, this totally spoilt our holiday having to get police reports etc visiting three different police stations and struggling with the language barrier,... If you can ignore the fact that this is built from modern materials as it was built between 1987 & 1996 then it is a very interesting visit. Only 2 euros per adult but you can see it all in ten mins. It looks like a fairy tail castle covering many eras of the past.

Quirky little place so much detail and work has gone into this place and still is in some areas in the grounds, only 2euros entrance fee too , 1hour visit should be enough but well the trip.

In Benalmadena, Andalusia, Spain there stands a fairytale castle with over the top attention to detail, frills and adornments. It is an architectural wonder and worth seeing.
