Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing beech, great value parasol and sunbed and so comfy!
only 9euro for two beds with parasol. shallow for a long way out which is great for kids, sunbed's right on front meaning you can watch them closely too

Work to replace the boardwalks and toilets etc is still on going. Hopefully they will complete it over the winter but seems slow and a number of boardwalks are not safe.
Otherwise a nice clean beach and safe for swimming.

Don't get me wrong the sandy beach itself is excellent and kept clean.
However the infrastructure is suffering. The beach boardwalks have become dangerous to walk on or have been removed. Large areas along the "promenade" and on the beach itself are fenced off and work is carried out to replace wall along promenade with a much less authentic looking metal rail fence.
Hopefully when all work is completed then beach will be 5 star again.

The Costa Del Sol is justifiably famous for its great beaches, Malapesquera Beach is a beach we always enjoy visiting.
A long expanse of sand ,pristine sand , the waves here are gentle and along the seafront are all manner of pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning to visit Benalmádena.

Malapesquera Beach is yet another superb beach that the Costa Del Sol is justifiably famous for.
Spotlessly clean sands and the lovely inviting Mediterranean Sea are a big draw.
This beach has great facilities and lots of chiringuito's dotted along the beach front.
We were here in late August, weather was roasting hot and it was so good going for a swim and then hitting a beach bar for a plate of grilled sardines and a cold beer.
A fantastic beach and well worth checking out.

ok when the sea is calm but when there are waves it draws in the jellyfish and the locals just stand and watch the sea from the beach, not sure why, maybe to laugh at the tourists who get stung.

This beach is nearest the marina and is long and wide. The promenade from main hotel area makes for a pleasant stroll in the balmy out of season weather but to be honest, the beach looks desolate and the surrounding “greenery” nearest the marina is a complete eyesore, which I think is symptomatic of the general lack of care which seems to be invested in Benalmadena. Benalmadena should be the jewel in the Costa Crown but unfortunately without proper and planned investment it will never achieve that accolade.

Can anyone advise about the "sandyness" of the beach? Is it rocky/stoney? Do you need wet shoes?
