Very difficult to get to but boy is it worth the trip. Can be a bit windy and the waves quite strong but must be one of the most stunning beaches in the world.

The ultimate get away from it all beach, rolling Atlantic waves gorgeous unspoilt beach with very high hills to it's backdrop, not a trip everyone will take as the drive is easy enough but the track cut out of the mountain can be a little...More

We visited today. It was an exciting climb on a slightly rough road, but certainly not a dangerous road. Lots of hire cars using it and certainly no need for a 4x4. The beach is ok and actually the water wasn’t too cold. Just a...More

We got here by the local bus from Morro Jable, €7.80 and well worth it. The ride is not for the faint hearted but the driver was experienced and very keen on the safety of his passengers. The view as we came over the hills...More

As one of the wildest beaches in the Canaries, with the largest dimensions and least urban developments, it is hard to find the adjectives to Cofete beach justice. Located in the north of the Jandia peninsula in the south of Fuerteventura, Cofete is a visual...More

This beach used to be absolutely stunning! Unfortunately now it’s littered with washed up plastic and turtles killed by plastic. It’s heartbreaking to see the death and destruction that our plastic use has caused. Fuerteventura should clean up the beach and ban single use plastic...More

Hello, You can rent a jeep, sure. Many people use their rented car to go there. But there is also a bus (more or less line bus) especially for this trip. Might be cheaper. We went there with our bicycles, which was tough... More

Hi Charlie, Its an unmade road - dirt track but its fine if you take it easy. There is a rocky but at the top of the pass but its only for a short distance. I took a hire car without damaging it :) have fun.
