It is a little marsh type oasis in the middle of the desert. I love all of the wildlife late in the evening or early in the morning. The sunsets out there are beautiful too.

Was nice to feel like your not I the city even though you are. Kids loved being out in the nature and it was a very peaceful place to walk and have a picnic.

This was a nice find in Midland, since the area is quite bare. We enjoyed walking here and viewing the wildlife. We saw many kinds of birds, a couple rabbits, wildflowers and other plants. It was a good break from the bleakness of the area.

Great place to relax. It has wildlife, trees and water. In West Texas where can you find that all in one place?

I went there in late March, and enjoyed walking the about 1.5 mile long trail. I can imagine that it would indeed be a beautiful place when more greenery sprouts, the lake fills up, and more birds return. The trail itself is nicely built with...More

Nice urban respite, though evidence of after hours illegal and improper use is blatantly obvious. Trash does need to be policed more often. Wildlife other than birds are rarely scene.

Lots of trails but winter is not the time to go unless you enjoy dead scenery. I imagine in spring its a nice place with the greenery in bloom.
