Tubing down the comal is always a welcome respite! Nice cool water and fairly clean and clear. As good as it gets. The river is a great equalizer and you see all types of people and ages. Some rowdy, some just chilling. It is always...More

The river is a bit tame, but fun. My wife had never been tubing, and she is not a strong swimmer. She had a GREAT time!

The river wasn’t too crowded and our daughter loved swimming and floating. The tube chutes were perfect for us. Not to scary, just enough excitement for 10 yr old kids and adults alike.

Great lazy day in the sun, that the entire family can enjoy. Make sure that your floats meet guidelines, bring swim shoes and plenty of sunblock cause the kiddos are not going to want to leave.

We floated on tubes on a weekday. It was pretty quiet and very relaxing. There were a few spots to get out and purchase refreshments. The chutes weren’t that scary even for my 3 year old, though we were sure to keep him in a...More

We love the Comal. Get there early. River gets crowded by 2 pm. Can bring your own tube or rent from one of the many outfitters in area. This is an annual trip for our family.

Love love love the river. Appeared to have a low water level. As a sensitive, I don’t bounce any more and prefer a higher water level. Will come back.

No theres no age limit. It's not deep either. The only part I do recomend he know how to swim is the shoot part. But the rest of the river is calm and shallow but simply beautiful with its fresh water..
