Historic neighborhood with shops and restaurants. Plenty of watering holes including the oldest dance hall in Texas! Nice place to spend the evening.

What a cute little town! Very quaint. And very busy on a Saturday night. The General store, dance hall, restaurants, streets, shopping. It’s all perfect!

Gruene is a very interesting place to visit. A wonderful job of preserving old buildings. Quaint shops and excellent restaurants makes this place a must do!

So many beautiful and old buildings to see-- more to them than the outsides too. The insides are stunning as well. This is a hidden gem within south central Texas, and there's so much to see.

... great little town with multiple shops and restaurants. Souvenirs to antiques available to purchase. Even an ice cream shop. And - Who can resist checking out the oldest dance hall in Texas. What a treat!

Being here is like being home in Texas. The shade trees keep you cool as you browse the shops, have dinner or ho dancing at the Gruene Hall!

Nope! Gruene is alive and thriving! The area was a virtual ghost town back in the early seventies but luckily it didn’t stay that way for long! Today there are shops, restaurants and the oldest continually operating... More
