Hey, it is a market day, vendors, drinks and it is right across the street from the oldest Honky'Tonk in Texas, Gruene, Hall. Filmed "Michael" the arch Angel, with John Travolta. Extra in the movie.

This had been recommended to me by a colleague and was well worth the visit. A good selection of stall selling local handicrafts at very reasonable prices. All the vendors were friendly and smiling.

Neat place to go if you've never been, Make sure you hit the Gristmill for lunch. Vendors and shops tooo pricey. Better deals in Fredericksburg
